Update for our Patients re: Coronavirus
14th March 2020Dear Patients and Families of Angel Dental Care
It is easy to understand the concerns many of our patients have about Coronavirus. Although the chances of catching the virus is currently low both the mortality an morbidity are significant for some. Our team take the responsibility to protect your health very seriously. With this in mind we have initiated the following measures:
- Any staff member who is feeling unwell or showing symptoms of the virus will be asked not to come into work and self-isolate.
- We will endeavour to run on time and try to limit contact between patients in the waiting areas.
- Any patients who feel unwell are advised not to attend the surgery but to talk to our reception team for further advice.
- We recommend all our patients to wash their hands regularly and avoid contact with people who are sick if possible.
Within the clinic we follow strict Infection Control Policies to protect our staff and patients. New gloves and face masks are used for every patient interaction. After each use all dental instruments are sterilised in our practice decontamination facility. We have many single use items which are disposed of after being used on an individual patient. Hospital grade disinfecting solutions are used to clean the practice to ensure a safe and clean environment. These procedures with continue to be of the highest standards to protect you and our team.
We are closely monitoring local and national guidance and we will be posting any new information received regarding the current health situation.
We trust that we can all work together to overcome the challenges brought about by Coronavirus. We thank you for your continued support and confidence and we look forward to taking care of you at your next dental appointment.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Shakiela Hyder and Dr Alison Paxton
